Financial Aid

A Commitment to Need-Based Financial Aid

½ûÂþÌìÌà is one of a handful of institutions committed to meeting the full demonstrated need of all students who are eligible for need-based financial aid.

The Basics

  • A student's financial need is determined after a careful review of each family's financial documents. We do our best to take into account each family's unique circumstances.
  • For eligible students, the Offer of Financial Aid is composed of grant aid and a modest student employment allotment. While loans are available, Pomona does not use loans to meet a student's financial need.

Announcements

  • If we’ve been reaching out to you about missing financial aid documents, it’s essential that you address this immediately to avoid any delays in processing your financial aid. If you rely on financial aid to settle your fall bill, please ensure all missing items are submitted by this Friday, August 23rd, before move-in begins on Saturday, August 24th.
  • If you are being charged for the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP), the insurance grant has already been applied to your student account. This grant covers half of the insurance premium for students enrolled in SHIP who are also receiving financial aid. If needed, student loans are available to cover the remaining premium expenses.
